For those who are over forty, this place is very well known. Perhaps even too well. Not the architectural features of the ancient fortress, and a unique collection of trees in the castle Park attracted the boys of the sixties and seventies of the twentieth century. The Prussians called it Honed. The exact year when the Bay was constructed this fortification, now it is impossible to determine. Zverinetsky cave, a place of power
Zverinetsky complex of caves has long been considered one of the most enigmatic sacred places of Kiev . It is open for visits today. Everyone has the opportunity to explore the ancient corridors Zvirynetski caves. Of course, by the length they are smaller than caves of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, but, nevertheless, are the place that for hundreds of years been hid from human eyes. Archaeologists assessing finds made here with confidence call Zverinetsky cave is the oldest cave monastery on the territory of Kievan Rus .

Archaeologists excavating at Teotihuacan, at last, reached the center of the tallest pyramids in Mexico and discovered the ruins of an ancient ceremonial sacrifice, which was conducted before the construction of the Pyramid of the Sun.
Offerings were placed at the base of the pyramid, and chief among them was elaborately carved and detailed and the green mask of serpentine, which might serve, most likely, a portrait. Also among the findings was eleven dedicated to the rain God Tlaloc ceremonial pots from clay. Even found the bones of an eagle, which fed the rabbits, and also not yet identified the remains of felids and canids.
At the base of the pyramid was found also 7 burials of people, a few of which found the children’s remains.
In their excavations, archaeologists used the old tunnel of the pyramid, which was to bypass the centre of the pyramid and was excavated by researchers in the 30-ies of the twentieth century. Continue reading
