The Cathedral of the twentieth century
Not one among several, and the only one designed by the architect such as built in évry (Evry), 30 km South from Paris.
Hearing about it was in the year of completion of construction, 1995. Then in June I went to the place to “see” with Evry Hiking in the cathedrals, which I then took.
Because Paris has its “Golden ring” – the cathedrals, the Gothic, separated from the capital of 80-150 km, the main features of repeating of Notre Dame. Feature its Gothic – the lack of the spires on the towers; they have the “perfect Gothic Cathedral” (the word Viole-Le-Duc) – Chartres. In Saint-Denis, however, were the spires, until one of them broke the zipper in the early 19th century.

The Baikal is one of the most mysterious and mystical lakes in the world
Baikal – mysterious and mystical lake, lots of magic and mysterious is happening on its shores and in its waters. They say the lake is alive, it responds to human actions.
In 2008, during a research expedition “Worlds” on Baikal” scientists several times plunged into the waters of the lake to a depth of more than six thousand meters. The purpose of the immersion was good to explore the bottom and to determine the deepest point.
But Baikal was against such interference in his life, and August 27, Irkutsk and others close to lake city shook. An earthquake measuring 10 points in the epicenter and 6-7 points in the settlements. Continue reading
Between Evpatoria and Crimea resort Saki is the majestic hill of Kara-Tobe, where was located the ancient Greek-Scythian settlement, excavated and restored to life by professional archaeologists. Excavations on this site were only s year, so the hill the penalty-Tobe became exhibit relatively recently, when, in this mysterious place, it was decided to create a unique Museum under the open sky, available visiting the Crimea tour.
During the tour of the ancient city-Museum we can visualize tradition, culture and life of the ancient Scythian tribes living side by side with the enlightened Greek colonizers. Such cooperation between the two Nations has given rise to a certain commonality of culture, which is most clearly manifested in the objects of everyday life, and many conflicts. Among the most attractive sights of the hill of Kara-Tobe – preserved ruins of the once powerful ancient fortress Eupatorion, founded in the year 110 BC. Continue reading
